Irish Writers Centre host Special Events for Writers and Poets

A series of evenings are being hosted celebrating the life work of writers and poets, including John F Deane and Anthony Cronin. These were entertaining lively events supported by a full house and the great work of volunteers working at the Centre. See below.

On November 24th another of these special evenings will celebrate Frank X. Buckley and his wonderful art collection donated to the Centre. These works can be seen on the Centre’s website, and enhance the experience for visitors. The evening includes guests from artistic and literary circles.

Sean Gallagher for an Independent President

At the GPO today Sean Gallagher’s Team got together for a photo opportunity, show support and meet and greet. Responses from people are positive and everyone sends ‘Very Best Wishes’ to Sean and everyone working with him for continued sucess. The Image tells it all, you will agree!

Patrick Holford in Select Stores, Dalkey

Dalkey Book Festival hosted a very enjoyble series of talks and events throughout the    week end, with Patrick Holford speaking to a hull house about nutrition and well being, a topic on everybody’s agenda. Select Stores were involved – with treats for locals and visitors alike.

Visitors to Dublin must sample a pint of the Black Stuff – Guinness  of course and these boys were dressed in black too. It was friday and a glorious sunny day on Merrion Street.
